In addition to his own efforts, Cooper’s initiative inspired neighbors and friends to contribute to the cause. The community engagement was so significant that the goal of US$ 10,000 was reached in just 100 days.

Cooper’s story is a testament to how individual actions can spark collective change, proving that even the youngest members of a community can make a significant impact when driven by a purpose.

Through his determination and the support of his community, Cooper not only achieved his goal but also raised awareness about the importance of access to clean water, inspiring others to take action for similar causes.

The campaign ceased to be just a domestic effort when the family took the proposal to the Valley Community Church. The congregation was encouraged to pray, spread the initiative, and contribute financially so that the goal could gain scale.

Cooper’s parents, Adam and Somer Brezenski, also shared the story with a local newspaper. This move expanded the campaign’s reach in a small town and helped the project move beyond the family’s closest circle.

Goal considered impossible was achieved in just 100 days

The scale of the goal generated skepticism from the start. Samaritan’s Purse reported that some people suggested Cooper choose a smaller project, believing it unlikely to raise $10,000 in a small community.

Even so, the teenager remained convinced that he could complete the campaign. As the promotion advanced, donations began to come in not only from the city but also from people out of state and supporters who had never met Cooper personally.

The final push came when an anonymous donor decided to match the contributions received. Exactly 100 days after the project’s start, the entire necessary amount had already been raised.

Well in Cambodia will bring clean water to rural community and reduce disease risk

According to Samaritan’s Purse, the money raised by Cooper and the community will be used to fund a well in a remote area of Cambodia. The organization states that the potable water should reduce the risk of diseases transmitted by contaminated water and improve the overall health of the village served.

The entity also highlights that access to clean water changes the routine of families on more than one front. When communities no longer depend on improper sources, parents can work more regularly, and children are not interrupted by problems related to the lack of safe water.

The central data of the project helps explain the strength of the campaign. For the organization, a single well can serve up to 500 people, which transforms a local fundraising into a direct impact on the daily life of an entire community.

Project also changed Cooper’s town and mobilized the local church

The effect of the campaign was not limited to the well that will be built abroad. Pastor Don Jones from Valley Community Church told Samaritan’s Purse that the initiative had already brought about real change within the community where Cooper lives.

According to the pastor, the mobilization led by a teenager strengthened the faith and spirit of collaboration among the residents. The church’s interpretation was that the project practically showed adults what trust and collective action can produce.

The pastor’s statement reinforced one of the strongest aspects of the story. What began with collected cans and simple services for neighbors turned into a community movement capable of bringing people together around a concrete and measurable goal.

Cooper Brezenski’s story shows how individual action can create lasting impact

The journey of Cooper Brezenski gained momentum because it combined personal effort, clarity of purpose, and social mobilization around a basic need. Instead of treating the problem of lack of potable water as a distant reality, he turned the cause into an objective goal, with defined value and concrete result.

By raising US$ 10,000 in 100 days, the teenager not only funded a well for a rural community in Cambodia. He also created a rare example of how an individual initiative, supported by persistence and collective support, can leave the neighborhood where it was born and reach hundreds of people on the other side of the world.
