Petrobras' FPSO P-71 had its hull built in China and the modules were installed and integrated at the Jurong shipbuilding yard.

Petrobras informed, in a relevant fact on the morning of this day (17/10), that the platform vessel P-71 left Saturday (15) from the Jurong Aracruz shipbuilding yard, in Espírito Santo, bound for the Itapu field, in the pre- Santos Basin salt.

Remembering that the construction of the P-71 was started in China and finished on December 03rd in the Asian country. The installation of its modules and the integration were carried out in the EJA, where it generated more than 6 jobs.

P-71 will enter into operation in December 2022 and should reach its peak production by the end of 2023.

Originally designed for the Tupi field, the giant FPSO P-71 measures 316m in length and 54m in width. Its delivery was successfully completed in October 2022.

The unit will produce up to 150 barrels of oil and up to 6 million cubic meters of gas daily. The P-71's storage capacity is 1,6 million barrels of oil and can accommodate 160 people.

The P-71 is an FPSO-type platform (floating oil production, storage and transfer system) and will sail to the Santos Basin to carry out the next stage of the project, its mooring in the field, followed by the interconnection to the production pipelines. of the unit (risers).

The P-71 will start operating in December 2022 and should reach its production peak by the end of 2023. The unit belongs to Petrobras and will be the last in the Replicant series, also made up of P-66, P-67, P-68, P-69 and P-70. These units feature high production capacity, advanced operating technologies and emission reduction, with the same replicated engineering design.
