Navy Opens Applications for 600 Vacancies in Sailor Training Course, Know How to Register!
The Brazilian Navy is offering a unique opportunity for young people up to 22 years old who wish to pursue a military career. Soon, applications will be open for the public competition that will select 600 candidates for vacancies in the Sailor Training Course for the Active Duty (C-FMN), one of the most traditional and prestigious in the Brazilian naval force, according to the Military Society website.
The applications for the vacancy competition will be open from 01/29/2024 to 02/08/2024. The written exam is scheduled for April 13, 2024, and will be held nationwide.
Course and Vacancies Offered by the Navy
The C-FMN will be held at the Schools of Apprentice Sailors (EAM), in a boarding school format, during a school year of 48 weeks. During this period, students will receive basic and military-naval education, completely free of charge. A career in the Navy begins at the sailor rank, with the possibility of promotion up to the officer level, commonly reaching the rank of Corvette Captain.

To apply for the vacancy competition, you must be between 18 and 22 years old by June 30, 2025, have completed or be in the 3rd year of high school, have authorization from a legal guardian (if underage), be up to date with military (if male) and electoral obligations, not be responding to criminal action, and not have been held responsible for acts harmful to public property in the last five years.
The 600 vacancies are distributed among existing schools in Brazil. There will be a reserve of vacancies for black candidates, according to the distribution table. This is a unique opportunity for those who wish to enter a solid and promising military career.
