The Chinese automaker FAW has achieved a historic milestone in the automotive sector with the Hongqi HS6, a plug-in hybrid SUV that traveled 2,326 kilometers without refueling. The feat, recognized by Guinness World Records, reinforces the model’s efficiency and autonomy, as well as highlighting the advancement of Chinese engineering in new energy vehicles.
Journey From Shangri-La To Guangzhou
The journey began in Shangri-La on October 30 and ended in Guangzhou on November 3. During the five days of travel, the vehicle crossed cities such as Kunming, Baise, and Wuzhou, demonstrating remarkable endurance and economy. The achievement surpassed the previous record, setting a new performance standard among plug-in hybrid SUVs.
