Two Pilots Were Lucky to Escape Unharmed from a Crash of a Boeing 737 in Australia, Watch the Video
Two individuals were lucky to survive after the Boeing 737 tanker crashed and caught fire in a remote area of Western Australia on Monday, the 6th. The accident occurred while the aircraft was participating in firefighting operations in Fitzgerald National Park, approximately 420 kilometers southeast of Perth. The crash left a long trail in the area where it happened.
Aerial images showed a column of black smoke and the fuselage in flames. Miraculously, the two pilots managed to exit the plane unharmed and were discharged from the hospital the next day. Unfortunately, only the tail of the aircraft remained as ashes.
The regional Emergency Minister, Stephen Dawson, commented in a press conference on Tuesday that the fact that the pilots managed to exit the aircraft was nearly miraculous. “We are very relieved they are well. It’s a truly extraordinary outcome,” he said. He also highlighted that this situation was a test of the pilots’ skills.
The tanker plane, which was previously a passenger vehicle, touched down just 20 seconds after releasing its load at the ignited site, according to official information. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has launched an investigation to determine how the first “accident” involving a Boeing 737 occurred in the country.
