The city of Aberdeen, Scotland, invested in modern hydrogen buses to transform public transport into a benchmark for clean mobility. The double-decker vehicles were presented as a symbol of the future and as part of Europe’s commitment to sustainable energy.

The problem emerged when the supply stopped working. Without available hydrogen, the fleet itself was stalled for months, creating a situation considered contradictory even by proponents of the energy transition.

The information was released by The Scottish Sun, a British news and entertainment newspaper, and while the millionaire buses remained out of operation, auxiliary vehicles for the project began to use diesel.
