The Litoral Lot Concession Will Modernize 212 Km and Invest R$ 4.3 Billion in SP Highways, in a Project That Promises to Transform Access to the Port of Santos
The Government of São Paulo announced that the Litoral Lot concession will modernize 212 kilometers of highways between Alto Tietê and Baixada Santista. The contract includes 90 kilometers of duplicated roads and a total investment of R$ 4.3 billion.
The interventions aim to increase traffic flow, provide more safety for drivers, and enhance regional connectivity.
Planned Duplications and Creation of a Logistics Ring
The duplications of the Litoral Lot concession are mainly concentrated on SP-055 (Padre Manoel da Nóbrega), with fully duplicated sections between Bertioga and Santos and between Peruíbe and Miracatu. Improvements will also be made on SP-088 (Mogi-Dutra) and SP-098 (Mogi-Bertioga).

Alert in Santa Catarina: the Anita Garibaldi Bridge on BR-101 is completely closed in both directions due to “structural risk,” and drivers are diverted to a 20 km/h detour that promises kilometer-long queues until July 20.

More than 6,000 trucks poured nearly 70,000 cubic meters of concrete without interruption for 72 hours to create the largest continuous concrete pour in history and erect a megaproject in Saudi Arabia.

28-meter, 156-ton titans traveled 20,000 km from China to the port of Santa Catarina: Portonave received 7 fully electric megacranes, part of a R$ 210 million package, to double container handling.

They exchanged the idea of a large house for a 35 m² warehouse, spent US$ 12,000 on the structure, and created a tiny house in Colorado with space to live and work.
These works will form a logistics ring, creating alternative routes outside the metropolitan region of São Paulo and optimizing access to the Port of Santos.
The initiative complements the Anchieta–Imigrantes system, promoting better traffic distribution.
Works for Traffic Safety and Flow
The package includes the implementation of access roads, pedestrian overpasses, bike lanes, shoulders, and grade-separated structures, in addition to improvements in pavement and signage.
According to the government, the Litoral Lot concession will also incorporate new road safety equipment to protect drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Siga Fácil System and Expected Logistical Impact
A large part of these deliveries will occur before the implementation of the electronicitag Siga Fácil system, which will eliminate stops and organize toll collection on express lanes. Urban and access sections will not have tolls.
With the duplication of SP-055 and the improvements on the downhill roads from the plateau, the expectation is to reduce traffic jams on weekends and holidays, increase the predictability of cargo transport, and provide more safety for users.
The Litoral Lot concession project represents an advancement in the region’s road infrastructure.
