Tesla Car Accident Killed Two People Last Saturday. There Was No One at the Wheel of the Electric Vehicle
The electric car is already a reality. Today, the company that leads all the rankings and is the driving force behind this market is Tesla, a company founded by Elon Musk. However, with these cars, new dangers also emerge. For example, a major accident in Texas, in the United States, killed two people.
In Texas, authorities reported that the Tesla electric car failed to make a turn, crashing into a tree and catching fire. However, one fact that drew attention is that there was no one at the wheel, meaning the electric car was driving itself.
The Tesla Model S quickly caught fire, killing the two men who were in the electric vehicle. One notable fact is that firefighters took about 4 hours to extinguish the fire from the battery of the Tesla Model S. A police officer who responded to the incident stated that, generally, they put out the fire in a matter of minutes in a conventional vehicle.

No One at the Wheel of the Tesla Electric Car
One of the individuals was in the passenger seat and the other in the back seat of the Tesla Model S. The police officers who attended to the incident emphasized that they are 100% certain that there was no one at the wheel of the electric car at the time of the accident. “They are 100% sure that no one was in the driver’s seat driving that vehicle at the time of impact,” said a police officer.
Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, made a post on the last Saturday, the day of the accident, regarding the report on accidents involving the company’s vehicles. He stated that a person driving with Tesla’s autopilot has a 10 times lower chance of having an accident compared to a conventional vehicle.
