Inpasa shipped 45 thousand tons of DDGS to Turkey, a market that has already received 600 thousand tons since 2023 and today ranks second among the company’s main destinations, in an operation that involved Sinop, Miritituba, Santarém, and the Tapajós River
Inpasa shipped 45 thousand tons of DDGS destined for Turkey, in yet another operation aimed at the external market for animal nutrition inputs. The shipment reinforces the company’s progress in DDGS exports and consolidates the Turkish market among the company’s main destinations.
Turkey currently ranks second among Inpasa’s markets, behind only Vietnam. Since 2023, the company has directed 600 thousand tons to the country, increasing the presence of Brazilian DDGS in this market.
Turkey increases weight in DDGS exports
The new shipment comes after another significant operation carried out by the company, with 62 thousand tons destined for China. The movement occurs amid the expansion of Brazilian DDGS exports, a product derived from corn ethanol production.

Inpasa believes that the shipment to Turkey reaffirms its international presence in a market where it maintains established partners. The company also points to growing demand for the co-product in the country.
Logistics integrates highway, waterway, and port
The operation began at the Sinop unit in Mato Grosso, from where the product was transported by road to the Miritituba terminal in Itaituba, Pará. Then, the cargo was taken on barges along the Tapajós River to Santarém.
In Santarém, the DDGS was transferred to the vessel that will continue to Turkey. The logistical structure involved different routes and stages until the completion of the international shipment.
Company highlights consistency and technical standards
The International Trading Director of Inpasa, Ricardo Zicardi, stated that the movement reflects the confidence built on quality, delivery consistency, and technical standards.
He also mentioned that the demand highlights the company’s ability to operate with logistical versatility, accessing different ports and routes to enhance efficiency, competitiveness, and reliability in serving international markets.
DDGS is primarily used in the formulation of feed for cattle, pigs, poultry, and aquaculture. In international trade, the product has gained traction as a protein alternative to corn and soybean meal amid grain market volatility.
