About Andrade Gutierrez and Vetor AG
The construction company Andrade Gutierrez was founded in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in 1948 and has since brought innovation to Brazil. However, it is a large-scale company and is prominent and renowned in the national scenario, with significant works for national development.
Since its inception, the corporation has worked on various projects related to infrastructure, urban mobility, mining, energy, oil and gas, among others. However, feeling the need for innovation and modernization in the sector, it created the Vetor AG initiative in 2018 in search of major partnerships with startups and technology solution companies.
Vetor AG is known as the first open innovation program in the engineering and construction sector. Thus, it enhances Andrade Gutierrez’s prominence in the national scene and increases competitiveness. However, this initiative establishes important connections with innovative startups, pointing to more effective and cost-efficient solutions in the market.
The Vetor AG initiative brought recognition as the 18th most innovative company in Brazil. And during these 4 years of existence, it is already in its fifth cycle of open innovation with more than 220 entries from national and international participants.
