Free Courses Were Created Due to the Commitment Made by iFood to Increase Opportunities for Low-Income People and Under-Represented Profiles, Training 25 Thousand People in Technology by 2025
The delivery app iFood opened 300 full scholarships for free courses in the technology field. The focus of the free courses is on low-income individuals and under-represented groups such as women, black people, indigenous people, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities. The courses are in partnership with the programming education platform, Rocketseat.

The courses are part of Potência Tech, a program by iFood in partnership with technology schools aimed at training and providing opportunities for under-represented individuals. Registration will be available until March 11.
Rocketseat is a platform where students can learn programming from scratch, specialize in various technologies, increase their knowledge, and join Brazil’s largest developer community. The free technology courses will have over 600 classes and will be made available online to the entire country.

The courses are in the following technology areas:
- Front End: This involves everything related to the visible part of a website that users can interact with. In this course, you will learn to develop the graphical interface using foundational technical languages of web development. This means you will produce code to bring speed and responsiveness to the site, so that it works well on all types of screens;
- Back End: The Back End is responsible for the behind-the-scenes of an application, meaning the code that allows the visual part to function correctly. In this course, you will become a professional who bridges the database and the browser information using specific programming languages;
- Full Stack: A full stack developer is a professional capable of working on both back end and front end, operating at all levels of project development, from creating internal servers to interfaces for end users;
- Data: This course will enable you to explore any database, clean data, identify problems, and extract powerful insights, in addition to using the most appropriate data techniques to answer any business question in an informed and statistically relevant way.
