Apple Released a Report on Tuesday (20) Stating That the iPhone Battery Lasts Twice as Long as Previously Calculated.
A report released on Tuesday by the tech giant Apple stated that the battery of iPhones lasts twice as long as was reported in September of last year. According to the company, this finding applies to the brand’s new models, namely, the iPhone 15.
According to the American company, the new models can maintain up to 80% of their charge capacity after one thousand cycles of use. This number is double the 500 cycles reported in September of last year.
In this report, Apple explained that the result was achieved through results in real usage conditions. In this sense, the company says that this better performance is due to advancements made in software and internal components over the past few years.

Battery Use Cycle: What Is It?
For those who don’t know, a battery use cycle is simply the process that takes the battery from 100% capacity to 0%. Previously, Apple told its customers that they could charge their phones 500 times, only noticing a decline in battery quality after that.
According to the company, after this point, the phones would drop to below 80% capacity, a mark considered unhealthy by the company, which may change soon, as the company has noted an improvement in the new iPhones.
iPhone With Better Battery Health
As mentioned, these new discoveries from Apple are especially for the new iPhone 15 models. In other words, for buyers of the latest models, there is good news: they will be able to keep their phones for longer. Today, especially for iPhones, battery health is very important, being one of the main factors when it comes time to resell or pass the phone to someone else.

What About Older iPhones?
So far, Apple has said nothing about new tests conducted on older models, such as the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, or iPhone 12. However, the American company reported that it is indeed investigating these phones to ascertain whether it also discovers news related to battery performance.
