The Brazilian Agriculture Industry Invests in Biofuels and Alternative Fuels to Strengthen Sustainability in the Field and Expand Competitiveness in the International Market
Automation in the field is gaining more and more ground, driven by technologies aimed at increasing efficiency and sustainability in agricultural production. The Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry (Abimaq) projects that the agricultural machinery sector is expected to record an 8% growth in revenue by 2025, generating around R$ 65 billion.
Agricultural Machines Gain Prominence in the National Industry
Currently, agricultural machines account for 22% of total sales in the national machinery and equipment industry. According to Pedro Estevão, president of the Sectoral Chamber of Agricultural Machines and Implements at Abimaq, the Brazilian agriculture industry is undergoing constant evolution.
The sector seeks more efficiency and productivity while meeting the increasing demands for sustainable agricultural practices.

The first 100% Brazilian aviation fuel came from soybeans: SAF Petrobras delivered 3,000 m³ at Galeão and is preparing R$ 17.5 billion to dominate the world market by 2027.
Estevão highlighted the fundamental role of machines in this process. He stated that the available technologies optimize the use of natural resources, such as water and energy, and enhance production processes focusing on environmental preservation.
Advanced Technologies Transform Agricultural Management
Innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, drones, and sensors are transforming the management of rural properties.
With these tools, producers achieve greater precision in the use of inputs and resources, which generates savings and encourages practices such as crop rotation and direct planting. These techniques are essential for soil conservation and biodiversity.
Renewable Energy Strengthens Sustainability in the Field
Another important highlight is the use of renewable energy sources, such as biofuels and alternative fuels. These initiatives strengthen a production model better aligned with the environment and reinforce Brazil’s competitiveness in the international agricultural market.
Agrishow, considered one of the largest technology events for agriculture in Latin America, consolidates itself as a strategic space to present these innovations.
Pedro Estevão emphasized that the fair serves as a showcase for technologies that enhance productivity and propose intelligent solutions for the preservation of natural resources.
The 30th edition of Agrishow will take place from April 28 to May 2, in Ribeirão Preto (SP). The event will feature more than 800 exhibiting brands and is expected to attract around 195,000 visitors from over 50 countries.
