Understand the factors that elected Bahia as the best state for the construction of Boticário's Beauty center
Among the factors, the qualified workforce of the state's residents, the fact that Bahia is located in a strategic location, at the gateway to the Northeast and the strong incentive given by the state government, were the main factors leading to the merger of Boticário with Camaçari . According to Sérgio, the solid relationship with the State began in 2014 with investments in the factory in the Camaçari complex and also in the distribution center in São Gonçalo, which generated several jobs.
Therefore, this relationship of the last 7 years has only grown and currently, next week, the company will discuss another major step, which is the construction of the beauty center in Bahia. According to Sergio, the company is making investments of BRL 600 million, but on other occasions, if you add the investments made from 2015 to now, it generates a total of approximately BRL 1,5 billion.
When Boticário built its unit, most of its products were purchased by suppliers in the south of Brazil. Therefore, the group made the invitation after consolidating itself in Bahia to attract these suppliers to the state.
Several new jobs will be created in Camaçari
At this moment, the Boticário group is inaugurating three large companies that take care of the packaging sector, which are Aptar, Printec, Box Print and Vitro. These three companies will make a significant contribution to the generation of jobs that the group will create, since, together, there will be more than 600 direct jobs and another 600 indirect jobs generated in Camaçari, Bahia.
O Boticário is concerned with the sustainable development of its investments. Even its buildings have certificates Leadership in Energy and Environmental Development (LEED). Those companies that have these certificates are companies that, from their construction to their operation, respect sustainable development.
Boticário seeks sustainability in its operations
Currently, more than 97% of Boticário's products have sustainable characteristics. According to Sérgio, in 5 years, the company will have 100% of its products recycled. In addition, 65% of the group's products are currently vegan of non-animal origin.
Another highlight is that the new factory already produces 100% clean energy, and that the company is carbon positive. Therefore, the amount of emissions that the group generates when producing and transporting it is offset by two large reserves in the South and Midwest of the country, where capturing CO2 has a negative effect.
