The R$ 50 Million ‘Brazilian Times Square’ Will Bring Interactive LED Panels and Themed Gastronomy to Transform the City of Santa Catarina into a Tourist Hub
The city of Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, known for its modernity and tourist infrastructure, will receive a new large-scale venture inspired by the iconic Times Square in New York. Called New York Food Lounge, the space promises to bring an immersive and interactive experience, blending gastronomy, technology, and entertainment. The project, which has an estimated investment of R$ 50 million, is seen as the creation of the Brazilian Times Square, attracting tourists and locals looking for a new leisure option.
Location and Structure of the ‘Brazilian Times Square’ Project
The New York Food Lounge will be located at the corner of Avenida Brasil and Alvin Bauer, one of the busiest areas of Balneário Camboriú, according to information from the city’s Tourism Secretary. The structure will feature a large gastronomic space, bringing together about 30 themed restaurants with national and international cuisine, as well as bars and live entertainment areas.
The project’s highlight will be its interactive LED panel, named “Times Square Brasil,” which will allow customers to interact in real-time through an exclusive app. This technology, developed by the company TechVision Brasil, aims to create an immersive experience, bringing the public closer to the famous aesthetic of the original Times Square and consolidating the idea that Balneário Camboriú will be the stage for the Brazilian Times Square.
