Free Construction Electrician Course in Rio de Janeiro
The Construction Electrician training will be in-person and will prioritize residents of Jacarepaguá and nearby neighborhoods, according to the area related to the operation of the Iguá Rio concessionaire. To participate in the selection, candidates must be 18 years old at the time of registration and have completed elementary education.
The 60 vacancies were organized into three classes of 20 students each, with schedules distributed throughout the day to accommodate different availabilities. The morning class will have lessons from 8 am to 12 pm, the afternoon class will run from 2 pm to 6 pm, and the evening class will take place from 6 pm to 10 pm.
In the planned division, the total load of 200 hours includes 160 hours of technical training by Senai and 40 hours of support for human development. This second axis includes content related to behavioral skills, career guidance, and topics related to entering the job market.
According to the announcement, classes should occur over 50 business days, always from Monday to Friday. Certification will be issued by Senai-RJ to those who meet the stipulated requirements, including regular enrollment, final approval, and the minimum attendance required.
Scholarship for students of the free course
The scholarship offered to participants does not have a fixed monthly value, as payment depends on the attendance recorded during the class period. The forecast is R$ 13.50 per day attended, with a proportional discount in case of absences, according to the rules established in the selection process announcement.
To receive the aid, the student must be duly enrolled and present a bank account in their own name, whether checking or savings. According to Firjan’s guidelines, inconsistencies in bank details may prevent the payment of the benefit during the course period.
The amount mentioned in the announcement, of up to R$ 297 monthly, corresponds to an estimate linked to the participant’s attendance. In the official announcement consulted, there is also a forecast of a total limit of R$ 675 during the course period, always conditioned to the attendance recorded in classes.
The selection does not guarantee employment at the end of the training, according to the conditions presented in the selection process announcement. The document states that participation and completion of the course do not create a commitment of job offer by Firjan Sesi, Senai-RJ, or Iguá Rio.
Who can apply for the free vacancies
Applicants with 18 years or older and complete elementary education can apply, provided they meet the other conditions stipulated in the announcement. Priority will be given to residents of Jacarepaguá and surrounding areas, while classification will follow the criteria defined by the committee responsible for the selection.
The selection stage includes verification of requirements, presentation of documents, group dynamics, completion of a socioeconomic form, and writing. During the evaluation, interest, availability, integration, and information presented by the candidates throughout the process will be considered.
In case of a tie, the announcement provides additional criteria to define the order of classification of participants. Among them are priority for women, transgender people, LGBTQIA+, agender or non-binary, as well as candidates without monthly family income, according to the score defined in the document.
The enrollment of those approved is scheduled for June 15 and 16, 2026, from 8 am to 6 pm, at the Senai Jacarepaguá unit. Candidates who do not attend during this period, or do not present the required documentation, may lose their place in the course.
Project Elas Constroem trains hydraulic installers
Another free opportunity is the Hydraulic Installer course, offered by the Elas Constroem project and exclusively aimed at women. The initiative, according to the sector’s announcement, seeks to increase the female presence in operational roles in civil construction.
The Elas Constroem project is developed by the Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry in partnership with Senai Nacional. In institutional publications, CBIC states that the initiative trains women in areas such as hydraulics, electricity, painting, drywall, carpentry, coatings, and finishing.
In Rio, the Hydraulic Installer training is supported by Seconci-Rio and sponsored by Tegra Incorporadora, according to information released by local media. Participants are expected to receive a Senai certificate, as well as support with transportation and snacks during the training.
There is also an indication of the possibility of professional referral to companies in the sector, but this information does not guarantee employment. Selection and eventual placement depend on the project’s rules, completion of training, and the demand of partner companies.
Civil construction seeks qualified professionals
The two initiatives were announced in a context of professional qualification actions aimed at practical roles on construction sites. In this area, construction electricians and hydraulic installers work in stages of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
In the case of the electrician course, the training prepares the student for activities related to electrical installations in construction, with a focus on technical guidelines and safety standards. The hydraulic qualification, on the other hand, gathers knowledge related to water systems, sewage, and building installations.
The free nature eliminates direct costs of enrollment and tuition for selected candidates, according to the conditions disclosed by the involved institutions. For those seeking initial qualification, in-person training, certification, and financial support are the benefits provided by the initiatives.
However, interested parties need to observe the prerequisites, deadlines, and documents required in each selection process. The absence of proof of education, CPF, identity document, or proof of residence may disqualify the candidate in the selection or enrollment stages.
How to enroll in free courses
Registrations for the Iguá Rio Electrician of Works course with Firjan Sesi must be made through the form indicated in the selection announcement. The process is free and accepts only one registration per CPF, according to the rules of the notice.
For the Elas Constroem Hydraulic Installer training, candidates should follow the project’s communication channels and the involved institutions, as the complete details about the deadline, location, workload, and registration form have not been securely confirmed in an open official source during the verification.
