UFPB selection for distance education offers a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,550 in strategic areas related to audiovisual production, editorial design, and institutional communication. Free process seeks professionals to work on academic projects of the Open University of Brazil with results expected by early June.

The Federal University of Paraíba opened a free selection process to form a reserve register of scholarship holders for the multidisciplinary team of the Open University of Brazil at the institution, to work as a pedagogical assistant in the areas of audiovisual communication and editorial design.

The process, organized by the UAB System Coordination at UFPB, provides for a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,550 and requires a minimum availability of 20 hours per week.

Registrations remain open until 5 PM on May 22, 2026. The opportunities are linked to supporting the university’s distance education initiatives.

Candidates with higher education and professional experience compatible with the chosen role may apply.

The public notice also allows the participation of probable graduates, provided they submit the required documentation.

The selection seeks professionals with technical proficiency to work in material production, institutional communication, and support for academic activities of courses offered in the distance learning modality.

Audiovisual communication and editorial design are among the areas

For audiovisual communication and production assistant, UFPB considers experiences such as visual identity creation, scriptwriting, video production and editing, as well as content development for social media.

In the role of editorial designer and layout artist, the evaluation involves competencies related to the layout of academic materials, visual organization of content, graphic projects, and editorial design for print and digital formats.

Selection process will include resume analysis and interview

The selection will have three stages: registration approval, resume analysis, and interview.

The final classification will be calculated by the average between the score obtained in the resume and the performance in the interview.

According to the disclosed schedule, the final result is expected on June 1, 2026.

The selection process will be valid for 12 months, during which approved candidates may be called upon as needed by UAB/UFPB.

R$ 1,550 scholarship requires 20 hours per week availability

Selected scholarship holders will receive R$ 1,550 monthly, according to Capes regulations for activities linked to the Open University of Brazil System.

Among the attributions are:

Audiovisual content production;
Support for institutional communication;
Layout of didactic materials;
Participation in planning meetings, training sessions, and actions related to distance education.

Registrations must be made free of charge until 5 PM on May 22, 2026, exclusively via the electronic form indicated by UFPB.

The candidate must fill in the requested data and attach the documentation provided in the public notice, available on the university’s Secretariat of Distance Education portal.
