Lev x Parley introduces innovative e-bike that combines technology and environmental commitment, transforming ocean waste and natural materials into a sustainable mobility solution.

Have you ever imagined riding a sustainable electric bike made from materials such as pineapple fiber and plastic collected from the oceans? This is the idea behind Lev x Parley, the newest e-bike model that combines technological innovation with environmental commitment. Launched this Sunday (1st), on Leblon beach in Rio de Janeiro, the bike made from pineapple fiber and plastic is the result of a partnership between Lev, a Rio de Janeiro-based company specializing in electric bikes, and Parley for the Oceans, a global organization that fights to protect the oceans.

An electric bike that makes a difference

The Lev x Parley is not just your average e-bike. Its innovative design and materials bring a unique sustainability proposition. Part of the bike is made from plastic waste collected from coastal regions, while the seat is made from a fabric called Piñatex, produced from pineapple leaf fibers, a byproduct of the fruit harvest that would normally be discarded.

“The plastic removed from beaches and the use of pineapple fiber show how it is possible to transform waste into something positive. Each electric bike is more than just a means of transportation; it is an opportunity for sustainable impact,” said Bruno Affonso, founding partner of Lev.

The partnership between Lev and Parley goes beyond the use of sustainable materials. For every Lev x Parley electric bike sold, the initiative promises to clean 200 square meters of coastline in Brazil. And the impact doesn't stop there: during the partnership period, for every Lev model sold, Parley commits to cleaning 30 square meters of national coastal areas.

This approach reinforces the companies’ commitment to environmental preservation. Plastic collected from the sea, called Parley Ocean Plastic, is used to make bicycle fenders, while the use of Piñatex provides a sustainable destination for discarded pineapple leaves and generates extra income for farmers.

Technology and design of electric bicycle made with pineapple fiber

In addition to its environmental impact, the Lev x Parley is a high-quality electric bike. The model combines sophisticated design with functionality, maintaining the premium standard already known for Lev e-bikes. The frame is lightweight, durable and equipped with cutting-edge technology to offer an efficient and comfortable pedaling experience.

The Piñatex seats are soft and sustainable, replacing traditional leather with an eco-friendly material. The mudguards, made from recycled plastic collected by Parley, add a touch of modern design and reinforce the bike’s environmental proposal.

How to acquire a sustainable e-bike?

If you're interested in cycling with purpose, Lev x Parley is here! available for purchase. The model costs R$11.580, and the purchase process begins with filling out a purchase intent form on Lev's official website. It is also possible to test the bike in one of the brand's physical stores, where orders can be placed according to stock availability.

Pineapple fiber and ocean plastic: how does it work?

The big difference between Lev x Parley is the materials used in its construction:

  • Pinatex: This fabric is made from pineapple leaf fibers, a byproduct of the harvest that would otherwise be discarded. In addition to being sustainable, Piñatex offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional leather, reducing environmental impact and creating an additional source of income for farmers.
  • Parley Ocean Plastic: This is plastic collected from coastal areas where the waste poses a threat to marine life and local communities. At Lev x Parley, this material is used in the bike’s mudguards, showing how innovation can transform waste into functional design.

Cycling towards a more sustainable future

The Lev x Parley represents an important step in the search for environmentally friendly mobility solutions. The bike combines technology, design and sustainability in a model that not only meets the demands of urban cyclists, but also contributes to cleaning the oceans and reducing waste.

The initiative reinforces the importance of choosing products that promote a positive impact on the planet. Every pedal stroke on the electric bike is a way to support environmental causes, helping to protect the oceans and encouraging sustainable practices.

If you’re looking for an e-bike that combines functionality, modern design, and environmental commitment, the Lev x Parley is a great choice. With innovative materials like pineapple fiber and recycled ocean plastic, this electric bike proves that it’s possible to pedal toward a more sustainable future.
