More than 1,000 residents of a remote island in Kiribati now have clean water and electricity with solar systems operated by the community itself.
Thus, the company now secures the necessary resources to continue its plan for electricity generation from palm oil biodiesel.
Therefore, BBF invests not only in expanding installed capacity but also in a cleaner future in the North of the country.
The company offers renewable energy production solutions in isolated systems, bringing electricity to communities that are not part of the National Interconnected System.
“We are attracting investments and bringing partners to a completely sustainable project that combines the decarbonization of the Amazon and the socioeconomic development of the region, focusing on job and income generation in the North of the country,” stated Milton Steagall, CEO of BBF.
The renewable energy production project in thermoelectric plants in Roraima will bring socio-economic growth potential to the state over the coming years.
Electricity is the lifeline for many local communities. With support from renewable generation based on palm oil biodiesel, this region will be supplied with a clean and sustainable resource.
BBF Operates Integratively in the Renewable Energy Production from Palm Oil Biodiesel. New Thermoelectric Project in Roraima Leverages the Company’s Expertise
In addition to the company’s thermoelectric project, BBF operates in the generation of electricity for isolated systems from biodiesel produced from palm oil.
Besides generating renewable energy, contributing to sustainability, the company also operates integratively within its production chain.
This means it works from the cultivation of the plant, to obtain raw material, to the generation of electricity.
Additionally, the cultivation of palm oil takes place in the North of the country, without causing deforestation to the regional flora. It is conducted only in degraded areas before the company began its activities.
BBF uses a region designated by the Federal Government for the production of raw material in the area. This way, the company generates wealth and promotes environmental recovery.
Another significant contribution to the economy and quality of life in Roraima by the company is the creation of jobs in the raw material production process.
With the new thermoelectric project in Roraima, BBF will continue investing in quality renewable energy produced from palm oil biodiesel.
