New Factory in São José dos Campos, Result of Investment from the United Arab Emirates, Will Produce the National Anti-Ship Missile in Collaboration with the Navy and Generate Hundreds of Jobs.

SIATT, a Brazilian defense products company with advanced technology, inaugurated a new headquarters. The event took place this Tuesday (2) in São José dos Campos (SP). The space will house the administrative area and a new production unit. This expansion reinforces the strategic partnership with Grupo Edge and the collaboration with the Brazilian Navy.

Industrial Expansion in São José dos Campos

The new headquarters has six thousand square meters. The location features state-of-the-art engineering facilities. It also includes research and development laboratories and production lines. According to the company, the structure marks a significant expansion of its industrial capabilities. In the coming months, SIATT is expected to finish the construction of a factory focused on explosives development.

The Strategic Partnership Between SIATT and Grupo Edge

This expansion was made possible after an important partnership. In 2023, Grupo Edge purchased 50% of the Brazilian company. Edge is one of the largest defense industry conglomerates in the world, headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The group has already invested around R$ 3 billion in Brazil. The Emirati company emphasizes that the goal is to build a “partnership” with the country, going beyond a simple commercial relationship.

Agreement with the Navy for Development of National Missiles

In 2025, SIATT and the Brazilian Navy signed a crucial agreement. The pact aims at the production and joint development of missiles in Brazil. It is an intellectual property sharing contract. It defines the terms for the development and production of the MANSUP (National Anti-Ship Missile). The agreement also includes its long-range version, the MANSUP-ER. The document provides for rights related to modifications, use, and production. Commercial exploitation in Brazil and other countries is guaranteed, with royalty payments to the Navy. This will allow the missiles to be used by the Armed Forces and also exported, strengthening the national industry.

Job Creation and Strengthening of the Defense Industry

The expectation is that the new venture will generate 200 direct jobs. Another 600 indirect jobs are also expected to be created. The inauguration featured important attendees. The executive director and CEO of Grupo Edge, Hamad Al Marar, the vice governor of São Paulo, Felício Ramuth, and the commander of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, were present.

O correto não seria “Míssil nacional antinavio” e não “Míssil antinavio nacional”?
