It’s official: Brazil has taken another bold step in strengthening its maritime defense. The MANSUP-ER anti-ship missile, developed by the Brazilian company SIATT in partnership with the EDGE group from the United Arab Emirates, will be equipped with a state-of-the-art foreign turbojet engine. The announcement was made during LAAD Defense & Security 2025 in Rio de Janeiro.

During the event, SIATT confirmed the signing of a contract with Kale Jet Engines from Turkey. The agreement provides for the supply of the KTJ-3200 turbojet engine, which will be used in the new extended version of the MANSUP-ER missile. The KTJ-3200 is the first fully Turkish-developed turbojet engine and is already used in other advanced defense systems, such as the SOM and Atmaca missiles.

At just 63 cm long, 33 cm in diameter, and weighing 50 kg, the engine can generate a thrust of 3,200 N and reach speeds close to Mach 0.95. A true technological asset for the MANSUP-ER, which promises to dominate the seas with precision and agility.

MANSUP-ER Gains Boost with the KTJ-3200 Engine

The MANSUP-ER is an improved version of the already known MANSUP (National Surface-to-Air Anti-Ship Missile), now with an extended range of about 200 km. The objective is clear: to transform the MANSUP-ER into a world-class weapon capable of being launched from both naval and terrestrial platforms.
