A Route That Crosses Continents And Challenges Geographical Limits, Connecting Brazilian Cities To Impressive Peruvian Landscapes. A Journey That Reveals Secrets Of South America On An Unforgettable Journey On Wheels, Combining Adventure, Culture And Complex Logistics.

Did you know that the longest bus route on the planet starts in Brazil and is registered in the Guinness Book?

This impressive journey begins on the Brazilian coast in Rio de Janeiro and goes all the way to Lima, the capital of Peru, crossing about 6,000 kilometers of roads that traverse various Brazilian states and South American countries.

The journey, offered by the company Transacreana, is considered a true marathon on wheels, lasting approximately five days with 30 stops in important cities such as São Paulo, Cuiabá, and Porto Velho.

In addition to the physical and logistical challenge, the route provides a unique natural spectacle, with scenery ranging from the beaches of the southeastern Brazilian coast to the peaks of the Andes Mountains.

According to official data from the Guinness Book in 2016, this is the longest bus route in the world.

The route starts in the heart of the “Marvelous City” and continues for over six thousand kilometers, crossing Brazil and Peru.

Along the way, passengers traverse regions with diverse terrain, with altitudes reaching 3,500 meters in the Andes, in addition to facing striking climatic and geographical variations.

This journey is not just a trip, but an experience that reveals the natural and cultural diversity of South America.

By crossing Brazilian cities such as Guaratinguetá, Campo Grande, and Rio Branco, passengers come into contact with different regional realities, from the coastline to the interior of the continent.

More than just transportation, this route represents a historical and economic link between such distinct regions, facilitating the movement of people and goods.

The Full Route

The journey begins in Rio de Janeiro, a city internationally known for its beauty and vibrant tourism.

From there, the bus passes through Guaratinguetá, São Paulo, Pardinho, Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo, Regente Feijó, Presidente Venceslau, and heads towards the Brazilian Midwest, passing through Nova Alvorada do Sul, Campo Grande, and Coxim in Mato Grosso do Sul.

The route continues through Jaciara, Cuiabá, Cáceres, Ponte Lacerda, and Comodoro, already in Mato Grosso.

Next, the bus crosses Rondônia, visiting Vilhena, Cacoal, Jaru, Candeias do Jamari, Porto Velho, and Vista Alegre do Abunã.

In Acre, it passes through Rio Branco, Brasiléia, and Assis Brasil, the last Brazilian city before entering Peru.

Now in Peru, the bus continues to Puerto Maldonado, Cuzco, Abancay, Nazca, Ica, until it finally reaches Lima, where this extensive journey ends.

A Unique Experience For Those Who Face The Journey

Those who choose to embark on this route know they will face hours on the road, but they also know they will be rewarded with stunning views and cultural diversity.

From the rocky cliffs and mysterious mists to the vast green of the Amazon rainforest and the imposing Andean peaks, each stretch offers an unforgettable landscape.

More than just tourism, this journey is a deep dive into the different realities of South America.

At the stops, passengers are exposed to local traditions, typical cuisine, and people who live in areas often little explored by conventional commercial routes.

This adds a humanized and cultural aspect to the trip, which goes far beyond simple transportation.
