New BYD Seal 2024 Arrives in Brazil at Civic Price, Delivering Excellent Range and Sports Performance, with Over 530 Horsepower.
The Chinese automaker BYD has launched its fifth electric car in Brazil. The model that joins the Tan, Han, Yuan, and the newly arrived Dolphin is the BYD Seal, which comes with the proposal of being the most sporty model that interested buyers in the brand can purchase, at Civic price.
BYD Seal at Honda Civic Price Features State-of-the-Art Technologies
Measuring 4.80 meters in length, 1.91 meters in width, and 1.49 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.92 meters, the new BYD Seal 2024, at Honda Civic price, is a step ahead of the other electric vehicles from the brand due to its CTB concept, where the battery pack replaces the floor of the monocoque structure.
Moving to the visual aspect, the model priced at Civic stands out for its fluid lines. It is bold just enough while the shapes and proportions are pleasing. Everything is in harmony, except for the slightly exaggerated lower grooves on the rear bumper.

Foxconn wants to bring electric cars to Brazil and could transform the iPhone manufacturer into a new mobility force with Foxtron models.
The equipment package is consistent with the proposal, as the BYD Seal features a good list of standard items, highlighted by the extensive panoramic roof, head-up display, six airbags, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated external mirrors with power folding, Isofix, 360-degree camera, OTA remote updates, NFC keyless entry, 4G connectivity, keyless start access.
Beyond the external appearance, the dashboard houses a digital instrument cluster with a 10.25” screen and a suspended 15.6” rotatable infotainment system display. It’s a setup that, in a way, follows the standard of the brand’s other electric vehicles, however, the cluster has better resolution and readability, combined with a good multifunction steering wheel with a flat base.
BYD Seal 2024 Delivers 531 Horsepower
The sportiness of the Seal is due to its design, which combines sedan and coupe lines, and its powertrain, consisting of two electric motors, one on each axle of the car, delivering 531 horsepower and 68.3 kgfm of torque.
The brand claims that the electric car, which comes at Civic price, goes from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, an excellent figure for a model weighing 2,150 kg. The numbers released by BYD are comparable to models like the Porsche Taycan and Mercedes-AMG EQS, but at a lower price.
Another impressive aspect of the Seal is its range. The new electric model from BYD promises to achieve up to 520 km on the WLTP cycle or 372 km on the PBEV standard from Inmetro.
Its battery is of the blade model with various thin sheets in a honeycomb shape. According to the manufacturer, with a fast charger, it is possible to go from 30% to 80% of the charge level in just 30 minutes, which is enough to drive about 300 km.
BYD Seal Arrives on the Market at Honda Civic Price
In Brazil, the BYD Seal has just been launched at a price of R$ 296,800 and is already available at BYD dealerships and digital channels, with deliveries starting in September.
The model arrives at a price similar to that of the Honda Civic, proving that the electric car market is becoming increasingly accessible while delivering better performance.
Considering the proposal, space, equipment, performance, and technology, the Seal is quite competitive for the price charged.
