Huawei Digital Accelerates Investments In Brazil And Launches Charger Capable Of Recharging Electric Vehicles In Just Five Minutes, Targeting 400 Charging Dispensers By 2026.
Huawei Digital is eyeing the rapid expansion of electric vehicles in Brazil. The company, which already operates in the national market with ultra-fast charging solutions, is now accelerating its strategy to meet the growing demand.
According to ABVE (Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association), the electrified fleet surpassed 400 thousand units in 2024 and, in just the first three months of 2025, 39,924 new models were registered, a jump of 10% compared to the previous year. This progress reinforces the need to expand the charging infrastructure across the entire national territory.
Huawei Digital Announces New Phase Of Expansion
Huawei Digital Power, which began selling its ultra-fast chargers in Brazil in 2024, is preparing for a strategic leap. The company intends to sell 100 units of power and 400 charging dispensers by the end of 2026.

The goal is to meet the growing demand and consolidate its position in an increasingly competitive market.
Technology Promises Recharge In Five Minutes
The significant differentiation presented by Huawei Digital is an ultra-fast charger that follows the motto “one second per kilometer”. The innovation allows recharging enough energy to cover 200 kilometers in just five minutes.
This time makes the experience of electric charging closer to traditional refueling of combustion cars. The solution will be one of the highlights of the brand at the InterSolar 2025 fair.
The technology is based on a power unit of 720 kW, scalable to up to 12 simultaneous charging points.
To enhance safety, the system features liquid cooling. Additionally, the “Load Balance” function ensures smart energy distribution among connected vehicles, optimizing the process and reducing bottlenecks.
Impact On Public Transport
In addition to the market for private electric cars, Huawei Digital is already testing its technology in collective projects. The chargers are integrated into the BESS system, which uses large batteries for storage and support.
In São Paulo, the innovation is in operation in the pilot project for the electric bus fleet. “When we brought this technology to Brazil in 2024, we presented a vision. Now, in 2025, we are talking about implementation and scale. Our goal of 400 dispensers is ambitious, but it reflects the urgency of the market and the confidence we have in our solution,” highlighted Roberto Valer, technical director of Huawei Digital Power.
