Record Diesel Unloading Sets Weekly Record at Terminal
Cattalini Maritime Terminals achieved a new record this week by handling 72,200 m³ of diesel, surpassing the previous volume of 70,000 m³. This accomplishment was made possible by the vessel Jag Sparrow, which docked at the company’s pier, highlighting the operational capacity and logistical efficiency of the terminal.
Structure and Preparation Are Key to Success
According to Bruno Marcel dos Santos, logistics manager at Cattalini Maritime Terminals, the terminal’s success is due to meticulous preparation and the support of a robust structure. “We have highly trained teams and infrastructure that ensures safe and agile operations,” says Santos. This level of organization allows the terminal not only to effectively meet market demands but also to exceed expectations and set new industry standards.
The Logistics Behind the Record
The vessel Jag Sparrow, at an impressive 228 meters in length, maneuvers at the outer berth of the Cattalini pier, which has a draft of 12.8 meters. This detail not only illustrates the terminal’s capacity to accommodate large vessels but also highlights the complexity and precision required in port operations. Unloading operations occur in an uninterrupted manner, ensuring that the imported diesel is efficiently transferred to the company’s Tank Centers 3 and 4, where it is managed precisely for subsequent distribution.

This milestone reinforces Cattalini Maritime Terminals’ position as a leader in the Light Petroleum Products segment, emphasizing its commitment not only to operational efficiency but also to continuous innovation in handling liquid bulk. By establishing new records and continuously improving its operations, Cattalini confirms its crucial role in Brazil’s logistical infrastructure, boosting the energy sector and significantly contributing to the country’s economy.
