The quality technical education continues to be one of the priorities of CEFET RJ, which has just announced the opening of 1,048 free slots for technical courses integrated with high school, with enrollment scheduled for 2026.

With a proposal that combines regular high school with professional technical training, the institution aims to attract students interested in qualifying for the job market while still in school.

The selection process is now open for registration and includes slots for both general competition and various quota modalities, promoting greater educational inclusion.

Free Technical Courses in Different Areas of Knowledge

To meet the diverse demands of the productive sector, CEFET RJ offers 26 options for technical courses, covering areas such as technology, health, culture, logistics, engineering, among others.

The institution aims to train professionals prepared for the challenges of the future, based on solid and interdisciplinary training.

Nova Iguaçu – 160 slots
Itaguaí – 120 slots
Maria da Graça – 120 slots
Valença – 60 slots
Petrópolis – 36 slots
Nova Friburgo – 40 slots

With this distribution, the selection process caters to both the capital and cities in the interior and metropolitan region, allowing more young people to access public and free technical education without having to travel far from home.

How to Enroll in the Selection Process of CEFET RJ?

To compete for one of the slots in the free technical courses of CEFET RJ, it is necessary to register online by September 10, 2025, through the official website of Instituto Selecon:

The registration fee is R$ 70, but candidates who meet the established criteria can apply for a fee waiver until August 5.

It is essential that interested parties consult the complete announcement and follow all steps correctly to ensure participation.

Stages of the Selection Process and Exam Calendar

The selection will be conducted through an objective test and an essay, scheduled for September 28, 2025. The exam will include questions on:

Portuguese Language
Mathematics
Natural Sciences (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry)
Human Sciences (Geography and History)
Essay

The official announcement of results is scheduled for December 15, 2025, while classes will begin on February 23, 2026.
