Chevrolet Bingo S Will Compete with the BYD Dolphin and Capture the Audience Looking for Style, Agility, and Competitive Pricing.
Chevrolet has unveiled the new Bingo S 2025, an urban compact that promises to shake up the entry-level segment in the Brazilian and global markets. With a modern look, dimensions ideal for the city, and a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, the new hatch from General Motors is set to replace the Spark and potentially become a future bet for emerging markets — including Brazil.
The Chevrolet Bingo S was officially presented by the manufacturer in South Korea and impresses with its combination of low fuel consumption, youthful design, and focus on cost-effectiveness, targeting directly the young audience and those looking for a versatile car for daily use in cities.
What Does the Chevrolet Bingo S Offer?
- Engine: 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, with up to 82 hp, ideal for urban use.
- Estimated Fuel Consumption: about 15 km/l (to be confirmed for the Brazilian market).
- Transmission: Manual or CVT automatic, depending on the version.
- Design: Modern lines, raised front, LED headlights, and sporty finish.
- Technology: Multimedia center, digital panel, rearview camera, and connectivity.
- Safety: 6 airbags, stability and traction controls, ISOFIX.
Design and Youthful Proposal
The Bingo S stands out for its modern and stylish design, featuring fluid lines, vibrant colors, and a clearly youthful focus. The front end resembles a compact SUV, with a raised hood, sharp headlights, and a robust-looking bumper. The rear is high and rounded, reinforcing the urban style.

Is the Bingo S Coming to Brazil?
There is still no official confirmation from GM Brazil, but industry sources indicate that the model may indeed be brought here in the coming years, filling the gap left by cars like the Spark and the Joy. The strategy would be similar to that adopted with the Onix: to offer a competitive, well-equipped, and affordable compact.
With the discontinuation of the Chevrolet Joy in Brazil and the repositioning of the Onix to higher price ranges, the Bingo S could be the missing piece in the automaker’s portfolio to maintain its presence in the compact hatchback segment and face direct competitors such as Fiat Argo, Renault Kwid, Hyundai HB20 Sense, and the new Citroën C3.
And the Price?
If the model really comes to Brazil, it could cost less than R$ 75 thousand, making it a strong alternative to the entry-level compacts currently on the market.
