Competition-inspired visual, specific aesthetic changes, and the same mechanical base mark the debut of the special series of Honda’s mid-range trail, which arrives in the Brazilian market as a more expensive option than the conventional XR 300L, maintaining focus on off-road use and sporting identity.

Honda will expand the XR 300L Tornado line with the arrival of the Special Edition 2026, which maintains the trail’s mechanical package and bets on visual changes inspired by the brand’s competition history.

The suggested retail price is R$ 31,540, excluding shipping, and it is expected to arrive at dealerships starting in February 2026.

With less than two years since the model’s presentation in Brazil, the novelty marks the first special series of the XR 300L.

According to Honda, the difference compared to the conventional version comes from “identification items that highlight the sporty and unique character of this pure adventurer.”

Racing design reinforces Tornado’s off-road identity

In practice, the Special Edition retains the already known Tornado base and shifts the launch focus to identity.

The motorcycle continues in the red color that debuted on the model, but now receives new graphics aimed at the racing universe, with references to off-road.

Honda XR 300L Tornado Special Edition 2026 arrives in Brazil with racing visual, ABS on both wheels, and 293.5 cm³ engine for R$ 31,540 in off-road.

Besides the stickers, Honda adopted a matte black finish on a set of components that, in the conventional Tornado, appear with glossy black paint.

This list includes parts like handlebar, wheels, chassis, front fork, rear swingarm, and exhaust, creating a more marked contrast with the fairing.

Another detail that reinforces the sporty appeal is the presence of inserts with the number 300, in an attempt to visually align the bike with competition models.

The proposal is to reinforce the personality geared towards off-road use, without altering the technical set.

293.5 cm³ flex engine maintains numbers of the conventional version

The XR 300L Tornado Special Edition retains the single-cylinder engine of 293.5 cm³, four-stroke, air-cooled, with electronic injection and six-speed transmission.

It is the same set used in other models of the brand in the 300 cc range.

In the Tornado configuration, the declared power is 24.3 hp at 7,500 rpm with gasoline and 24.8 hp at 7,500 rpm with ethanol, since the engine is flex-fuel.

The indicated torque is 2.70 kgf.m at 5,750 rpm with gasoline and 2.74 kgf.m at 5,750 rpm with ethanol.

Honda maintains the positioning of the XR 300L as an off-road focused trail bike, which explains the adjustments compared to more urban-use models of the same family.

The special series was not created to deliver more performance, but to highlight identity and finish.

Brakes with ABS and wheel set aimed at trail

The braking system continues with disc on both wheels and two-channel ABS, as already occurs in the conventional XR 300L.

According to Honda, the feature enhances safety on different types of terrain, without mischaracterizing the off-road proposal.

The configuration of wheels and tires remains unchanged.

They are spoked wheels of 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear, with tires 90/90-21 and 120/80-18.

The fuel tank maintains a capacity of 13.8 liters, with exclusive Tornado design.

Weight, dimensions, and ground clearance remain unchanged

The declared dry weight is 143 kg.

In the dimensions, Honda reports 2,201 mm in length, 1,429 mm in wheelbase, 1,298 mm in height, and 268 mm of ground clearance.

These numbers reinforce the positioning of the Tornado as a trail bike with elevated ergonomics and aptitude for tackling uneven terrains.

Price, arrival at stores, and maintenance plan

The XR 300L Tornado Special Edition will be available from February 2026, with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty.

The package includes free Pro Honda oil in seven services, with supply valid from the third service.

The maintenance interval is 6,000 km or six months, after the first service, which should occur at 1,000 km or six months, whichever comes first.

The suggested price is R$ 31,540, excluding shipping.

The value represents R$ 700 more compared to the conventional XR 300L Tornado.

With the arrival of the special series, Honda expands the options of the line without altering the technical base of the model.

The proposal is to cater to those seeking the same cycling and mechanics, but with a more striking look aligned with the brand’s sporting heritage.
