The Chevrolet Blazer EV, Electric Version of the SUV, Is About to Be Launched in Brazil. Evidence of This Is That the First Batch Has Already Arrived at the Port of Vitória in Espírito Santo. This Information Was Revealed by General Motors on Its LinkedIn Profile on Monday (17).
Earlier this year, as reported by Click Petróleo e Gás, the manufacturer had already confirmed an investment of R$ 7 billion in Brazil between 2024 and 2028 for various launches. However, the Blazer EV is part of a previous investment of R$ 10 billion, announced in 2021.
The mid-size SUV had already been seen being tested on the streets of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, a city near São Caetano do Sul, where GM’s headquarters and one of its factories in Brazil are located. The newly arrived units in the country were covered with a hood, bumper, fender, and roof (likely solar and panoramic).
Which Blazer EV Arrives in Brazil
According to the information, imported from Mexico, the Blazer EV will be offered in Brazil only in the sporty RS version, which is equipped with two motors delivering 565 hp and 89.5 kgfm.

Details Already Released About the Vehicle
According to information from the site Auto Esporte, the sporty configuration of the electric SUV, following the American standard, will include adaptive cruise control with emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, 21-inch wheels, a multimedia center with a 17.7-inch screen, and an integrated Google system.

With dimensions larger than the Equinox EV, which is also expected to arrive in Brazil, the Blazer EV measures 4.88 meters in length, 3.09 meters in wheelbase, 1.98 meters in width, and 1.65 meters in height. Currently, the only electric model from Chevrolet available in Brazil is the Bolt.
The RS version is known for its sporty appeal in design, present in other models of the brand such as the Montana RS and the Tracker RS. Also according to the mentioned site, the Blazer RS EV stands out for its larger wheels and the “T” shaped lighting that connects the headlights to the front grille, positioned below the hood, at the height of Chevrolet’s black bowtie – at the rear, the “L” shaped taillights extend to the vehicle’s C-pillar.
Price Similar to Rival BYD Tan
GM has not yet disclosed the price of the Blazer EV, but it is expected that the model will cost over R$ 500 thousand, competing directly with the BYD Tan, which has 517 hp and is sold for R$ 529 thousand.
