In an exclusive interview with Petronotícias, the oil and gas service provider Engeman reveals satisfactory results and growth in the company. Currently, Engeman has won a maintenance contract for equipment on 11 Petrobras platforms in the Campos Basin and is preparing for a new service at RNEST (Abreu e Lima Refinery), where he will preserve equipment, move loads and inventory materials throughout the unity. In addition to contracts with the Brazilian oil company Petrobras, the company from Pernambuco has also won contracts in the private sector, which represented more than 60% of the company's revenues last year.
In the interview Jobe Medeiros, director of operations at Engeman, reveals that the company is studying the possibility of making acquisitions onshore. “We have a geology team evaluating opportunities in onshore fields”, said the executive. Engeman is also studying the purchase of other companies (with a view to diversifying its area of activity) and is also structuring itself to act in renovations and commissioning of platforms and industrial plants. “We recently had the opportunity to work on the commissioning of the P-75 and P-77 units, which we successfully completed,” added Medeiros.

According to the executive, it was a great satisfaction to be in this select group of companies, among the best Petrobras suppliers. Engeman contracts in the oil and gas sector
According to the company, they carried out the mobilization of the two contracts with a high degree of complexity at the end of 2020 (Campos and Búzios Basins), referring to services on the platform turbines, where any failure could lead to a plant stoppage.
Currently, the company has its team providing maintenance services for turbomachinery on 11 platforms, in the areas of mechanics, electricity and instrumentation.
And it doesn't stop there, the company is at full steam at RNEST, with hiring and the arrival of new equipment, to meet the recently added scope, for carrying out equipment preservation, cargo handling and inventory of materials throughout the refinery.
At Petrobras, Engeman has a consistent presence, with offshore service contracts currently on 27 platforms, in addition to onshore activities in Araças in Bahia, Carmópolis in Sergipe and more than 200 professionals at RNEST in Ipojuca-PE.
According to the executive, the company also has partners in large and medium-sized contracts, multinationals such as Halliburton, Perenco, Trident and Unigel, in addition to projects in Ternium and Thermoelectric Electricité de France (EDF).
future investments
Engeman is targeting the platform decommissioning market, which will demand a high volume of services in the medium term and they want to be a safe reference for carrying out these activities.
