Cavalletta Invests R$ 50 Million in 2025 and Begins Construction of Its First Electric Motorcycle Factory in Jacareí (SP), with Operations Scheduled for 2026 and Creation of 250 Jobs.
The interior of São Paulo is about to experience a significant industrial transformation: at the end of JUNE 2025, the Chinese electric motorcycle manufacturer Cavalletta announced that it will invest R$ 50 million to build its first factory in Latin America in Jacareí. Construction is set to begin in the next 60 days, with the inauguration expected to take place within a year and a half, putting operations into motion by mid-2026. The project promises to generate 250 direct jobs and solidify the municipality as an emerging hub of electric mobility in Brazil.
The new unit will be located in the Jacareí Industrial Park, in the Rio Abaixo neighborhood, in a strategic location between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, close to Guarulhos Airport and the ports of Santos and São Sebastião. This privileged position will enable efficient service to both the domestic market and other countries in Latin America, reinforcing Brazil’s role in Cavalletta’s expansion outside of Asia.

Lock manufacturer from Rio Grande do Sul invests R$ 150 million to surpass R$ 1 billion in revenue, create 200 jobs, and double storage capacity, while choosing Santa Catarina to set up a new logistics center and speed up deliveries in Southern Brazil.
The initial investment will pave the way for the production of different categories of motorcycles – including models that will require specific licenses – as well as household products and pet items, such as vacuum cleaners and cleaning robots.
The expectation is that the factory will begin operations by the end of 2026, with the capacity to supply the Brazilian market and export to neighboring countries. According to the company, monthly revenues may range from US$ 5 to US$ 8 million once operations are in full swing.
Cavalletta Brings Investments and Economic Impact to Jacareí
The announcement, made in 2025, was received with enthusiasm by the Jacareí City Hall. In a meeting with brand executives, the Secretary of Economic Development, Eliane Biondo, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “We are working to bring innovation and qualified jobs to the municipality. The whole population of Jacareí is the one benefiting from this.”
The project will not only bring direct jobs but also boost sectors such as logistics, suppliers, and services, creating a multiplier effect for the local economy.
The Interior of São Paulo Remains a Strategic Destination for New Factories
The movement by Cavalletta reinforces a trend already observed: cities in the interior of São Paulo are attracting global companies seeking infrastructure, skilled labor, and tax incentives. Jacareí, due to its location and infrastructure, has become a point of interest for investments related to innovation and sustainability.
In addition to strengthening the local industry, the factory promises to accelerate the popularization of electric motorcycles in Brazil, making them more accessible and competitive by reducing import and production costs.
Electric Motorcycle Factory: A Step Towards Green Mobility
The Brazilian electric vehicle market is still in its infancy, but it is growing year by year. With the establishment of a local production line, Cavalletta can transform the motorcycle sector, offering modern, sustainable options at more attractive prices.
This advancement contributes to the country’s energy transition, which seeks cleaner alternatives in line with global environmental requirements, and places the interior of São Paulo on the map of electric mobility.
With construction starting in 2025 and inauguration expected in 2026, Cavalletta’s arrival represents more than just the construction of a factory: it is a symbol of economic development, innovation, and commitment to sustainability.
For Jacareí, it means job creation, technology, and visibility. For Brazil, it is an important step towards a future where electric motorcycles cease to be a novelty and become a daily reality.
