Job Opening for Helicopter Pilot Offered by CEMIG, and Tests Will Be Administered in June
The announcement for the CEMIG contest was published in the Official Gazette on March 1, 2023. One vacancy is offered for Helicopter Pilot for hiring by the company, under the CLT regime. The execution and operationalization of the public contest will be the responsibility of the Fundação Mariana Resende Costa – FUMARC, with support and supervision from the Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais.
The starting salary is R$ 12,575.17, but with the danger pay and flight hours added, the total minimum remuneration goes up to R$ 20,970.42. For those interested in the position, applications will be open from May 2 to May 31. Meanwhile, the tests for the selection process will only be administered on June 25, in Belo Horizonte.
Requirements to Be a Helicopter Pilot at CEMIG
According to the announcement published in the Official Gazette, the pilot must have completed high school; a valid PCH (Commercial Helicopter Pilot) license; a valid CMA (First Class Aeronautical Medical Certificate); and a valid CHT (Technical Qualification Certificate for HMNT – single-engine turbine helicopter).

In addition, the announcement requires proven experience of at least 2,500 (two thousand five hundred) total flight hours in helicopters, including, at least, 1,500 (one thousand five hundred) hours as pilot-in-command, 1,000 (one thousand) hours in single-engine turbine helicopters, and 500 (five hundred) hours as pilot-in-command of H125, recorded in an Individual Flight Log (CIV).
Information About the Tests and Applications Disclosed in the Contest Announcement
The public contest will select candidates through the following stages:
- Objective Multiple Choice Test, of a classificatory and eliminatory character;
- Title Evaluation, of a classificatory character;
- Pre-Employment Health Assessment, of an eliminatory character.
The objective test, which is eliminatory and classificatory, is scheduled to take place on June 25, 2023, in Belo Horizonte. The time, date, and address will be provided on the Information Card-CI.
