Federal University of Juiz de Fora Has Hundreds of Spots in Free Foreign Language Courses Starting in March
It’s your time to take a free foreign language course! UFJF (FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF JUIZ DE FORA) is offering 280 spots in free courses in more than 5 different foreign languages, according to G1.
The name of the free courses project is “Good Neighborhood Languages” and its goal is to provide residents around the university in Juiz de Fora with an opportunity to learn foreign languages completely for free.
The languages offered by the university through the free courses are: French, Latin, English, Brazilian Sign Language, Ancient Greek, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Raízen offers a scholarship of R$ 2,000 + R$ 194 for transportation assistance or chartered transport to work 30 hours per week; the Internship Program has open positions in 11 states of Brazil.

The free courses will last for 3 academic semesters and have a workload of 60 hours per semester. Classes are scheduled to start on March 20.
About the Free Courses Project
The “Good Neighborhood Languages” project is an initiative by Proex in partnership with the Faculty of Letters at UFJF. Today, the program comprises 16 professors and 24 scholarship holders from the course. The program also helps train future professionals in the field.
Requirements to Participate in the Free Courses Program at the University of Juiz de Fora
Those interested in participating in the free courses offered by the University of Juiz de Fora must live in the surrounding area of the university (if there are spots available, interested parties from other neighborhoods may apply).
Additionally, participants must be students of public schools enrolled in elementary or high school (individuals with ties to the University of Juiz de Fora will not be able to participate).
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and, specifically for the English language course, candidates must be at least 18 years old. Each interested party can apply for up to 3 options of the language courses offered, being accepted in only one.
