Comgás, in partnership with the Secretariat of Economic Development of São Paulo, is offering a free course for training gas fitters in Campinas, São José dos Campos, Baixada Santista, and the capital of São Paulo

The Gas Company of São Paulo (Comgás), in partnership with the Secretariat of Economic Development of the State, announces the opening of registrations for 120 spots in a free professional qualification course. The initiative aims to train gas fitters, professionals specialized in everything that encompasses the maintenance and adjustments of gas networks in the state of São Paulo, as reported by the website Catraca Livre.

Distribution of Spots in the Free Course by Comgás in São Paulo

The spots in the free course in São Paulo are distributed across the following cities in the state:

  • Campinas: 30 spots
  • São José dos Campos: 30 spots
  • Baixada Santista: 30 spots
  • Capital of São Paulo: 30 spots

The course lasts four months, with classes starting on August 5 and graduation in November. The total workload is 140 hours, consisting of:

  • 120 hours of theoretical classes conducted remotely
  • 20 hours of practical classes taught at Comgás facilities

The online classes for the free course will take place in the evening, from 6 PM to 10 PM, facilitating participation for those who work during the day.

Importance of Qualification by Comgás

The course aims to train qualified professionals to work in the natural gas sector, a growing segment in Brazil. Comgás, recognized by the Brazilian Association of Gas Distribution Companies (Abegás) as the largest distributor of natural gas in the country, seeks to prepare a qualified workforce to meet the growing demand for installation and maintenance services of gas systems.

Registrations and Requirements to Participate in the Free Course Offer

Registrations can be made until July 16 on the Qualifica São Paulo website. To register, candidates residing in São Paulo and the region must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Completed high school
  • Active driver’s license in category B
