Funai Contest: Check Now What to Expect from the Announcement and the Foundation and Possible Vacancies Available in the Agency’s New Selection Process

The awaited announcement of the Unified National Contest is about to be released, bringing with it the expectation of vacancies at the National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples (Funai). It is expected to be published on December 20th, as announced in this week’s official schedule.

Founded by Law No. 5,371 in 1967, Funai is completing 56 years with a fundamental role in the protection of indigenous lands, in the coordination of policies for isolated peoples, and in the development of sustainabletable of these communities. Its actions are based on respect for the culture and traditions of indigenous peoples, seeking to ensure their autonomy and self-determination.

Bank Already Chosen to Conduct the Funai Vacancies Contest

The company chosen to organize the Unified National Contest and, consequently, that of FUNAI (National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples) was the Cesgranrio Foundation, which presented the most advantageous proposal for the Public Administration, with the lowest cost.

Funai has an administrative structure that includes the Directorate for the Promotion of Sustainable Development, the Territorial Protection Directorate, and the Administration Directorate, in addition to bodies such as the Internal Affairs, Ombudsman, Internal Audit, Specialized Federal Prosecutor’s Office, and the Indian Museum. Its operations cover the entire country through Regional Coordinations,Technical Local Coordinations, Ethno-environmental Protection Fronts, and Ethno-environmental Protection Bases.

With registration open on January 19, 2024, and tests in 217 cities across the country on May 5, the selection process has 512 vacancies for high school and higher education levels. The dates were set to ensure adequate preparation time for candidates, in agreement between the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services and the organizing bank, Cesgranrio.
