Throughout more than a century, Bar Guanabara has hosted various illustrious figures. Politicians such as Getúlio Vargas, Jânio Quadros, and Adhemar de Barros have frequented the place, as well as renowned artists like Raul Seixas, Geraldo Vandré, and Benito Di Paula.
