Kombi Boat Transforms The Classic Volkswagen Van Into Stylish Boat With Water Slide, Ambient Sound, And Comfort For Up To 20 People
Who saw it, couldn’t believe it. The classic Kombi “owl”, a symbol of Brazilian roads between the 1950s and 1970s, now also sails over the waters. That’s right. A faithful replica of the 1974 model has become the highlight of a retro-designed boat, equipped with modern comfort and even a slide on the roof.
The creation, named Kombi Boat, is the result of a partnership between Procopio Luxury Vehicles and the Paraná-based shipyard Fluvimar.
The vessel was disclosed by the specialized site Náutica and draws attention for its curious combination: an old vehicle, made of fiberglass, attached to a pontoon base with three hulls and a Mercury V6 engine of 200 hp.

Retro Design With Modern Structure

The developers’ idea was to combine the striking visual of the Kombi with the calm and safe performance of pontoon boats.
This type of vessel has a flat deck and is ideal for trips on dams, rivers, and lagoons. The version made by Fluvimar is 6.40 meters long and has a capacity for up to 20 people, including the crew.
But what stands out the most is not just the appearance. The Kombi Boat features a slide on the upper deck, allowing passengers to slide directly from the roof into the water.
The vibrant light green paint completes the relaxed atmosphere.
Fun And Comfort In A Single Ride
Besides the fun, the Kombi Boat was designed to offer comfort on board. It includes a bathroom, barbecue, space for drinks, outdoor shower, DJ table, sound system, and even a removable awning.
All of this has been carefully installed on Fluvimar’s nautical base, known for providing stable and safe navigation.
The interior of the replica is also impressive. The fiberglass Kombi was molded with attention to detail, respecting the original shape of the famous Volkswagen van produced between 1957 and 1975.
Exclusive Production On Demand

The project was revealed to the public in May. However, the production will be quite limited. The creators plan to manufacture only two units per year, always on demand, which guarantees exclusivity for the buyer.
According to information released by Folha de S. Paulo, the estimated price of the vessel is R$ 790 thousand.
With this amount, interested parties will take home — or to the lake — a stylish boat with a powerful engine and nostalgic aesthetics.
The replica of the 1974 Kombi was built faithfully and adapted to navigate with safety and style.
Sale Of The Kombi Boat Begins In September
Starting in September, the Kombi Boat can be ordered by those who want to combine retro adventure and originality in a single ride.
This blend of classic road travel and the freedom of navigation certainly marks a new phase in the Brazilian recreational boating market.
