In 1988, when billionaire Gautam Adani was 26 years old, he created Adani Enterprises, the first company of the conglomerate he would go on to form. In 1991, India opened its economy, and the company ended up benefiting from it. Indian Adani won a privatization contract for the Mundra Port, which is the largest commercial port in India and the most important coal export point in the country. After establishing himself in the port sector, the businessman decided to broaden his horizons and currently controls seven airports that account for 25% of all air traffic in the country.
