Immediate Openings: Become a Professor in Free Specialization and Graduate EAD Courses at the Federal Institute of Paraná
Do you have the desire to boost your career and become a professor at a Federal Institute? This is your chance to embark on a new journey in Higher Education, working as a Training Professor and TCC Supervisor in the Free Course in Professional Education Specialization, which will be conducted remotely – EAD.
To ensure the activities are carried out and to provide adequate support to enrolled students, the Federal Institute of Paraná – IFPR published the Notice 66/2024, opening applications for 55 positions of Training Professor and TCC Supervisor, aimed at Lato Sensu graduate courses, in collaboration with the Open University of Brazil – UAB.
The goal of this initiative is to select 12 training professors, each responsible for one course subject, in addition to 43 TCC Supervisors, who will work with up to 10 enrolled students. The selection process is open to both IFPR staff and external candidates.

Responsibilities of Training Professors and Supervisors:
Training professors will be responsible for developing course plans using appropriate resources and methodologies for distance education, encouraging student autonomy and integrating theory and practice. Additionally, they should use the IFPR Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) to provide technological resources that promote cooperation and reflection on the content, offering students a diversified teaching-learning experience.
TCC Supervisors, on the other hand, must prepare monthly reports, participate in forums and web conferences, and actively guide students, except in justified situations. They are required to access the IFPR AVA daily, provide individual guidance according to the calendar, follow the TCC schedule, respond to requests from the Course Coordination, and register student grades punctually. Up to 43 vacancies are available for this role.
Requirements to Work as a Graduate Professor:
For both positions, candidates are required to have:
- A minimum of one year of experience in higher education
- Availability of 20 hours per week
- A degree in any area or a bachelor’s degree with Pedagogical Training
The hired professionals will be responsible for pedagogical activities and for the development of Lato Sensu Graduate courses in Professional Education. These positions are temporary and the remuneration is made through a scholarship, ranging from R$ 1,550.00 to R$ 1,850.00 per month, depending on the teacher’s experience.
Selection
The selection will be conducted through Curriculum Analysis, considering the criteria established in the notice, which evaluate the professional and academic experience of each candidate.
This selection process will be valid for two years from the approval date, and it is important for each candidate to follow all stages of the process.
