The Federal Institute of Sudeste de Minas Gerais (IF Sudeste MG) has just opened 150 spots for the free specialization course in technologies applied to education. Completely online (EAD), the program aims to train teachers in the use of digital tools and innovative pedagogical practices. Enrollment is open until January 10, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for educators looking to stand out in the digital age.

Through PUBLIC NOTICE No. 22/2024, IF Sudeste MG presents an innovative proposal for educators across Brazil. The free online course (EAD), scheduled to start in the first semester of 2025, primarily focuses on enabling participants to use digital technologies in a critical, efficient, and creative manner. The methodology includes practical reflections, theoretical insights, and activities applicable to school life.

In addition to the use of technological tools, the course also addresses modern pedagogical practices, encouraging digital literacy and the creation of educational strategies that leverage the potential of digital platforms.

What Are the Main Objectives of the Course?

The free online specialization course has three main objectives:

Training in the use of digital tools: Teaches effective use of technologies for personal and educational purposes.
Transformation of digital literacy: Goes beyond basic usage, encouraging critical reflection on the impact of technologies.
Development of innovative pedagogical practices: Helps educators develop modern strategies for a more dynamic teaching approach.

How Will the Spots Be Distributed?

The 150 spots are distributed among the following branches of the Federal Institute-IF Sudeste MG:

Águas Formosas: 30 spots
Barão de Cocais: 30 spots
Ipatinga: 30 spots
Belo Horizonte: 30 spots
Monte Sião: 30 spots

The online (EAD) format allows educators from all over Brazil to participate, following classes at their own pace and from anywhere.

Who Can Participate and What Are the Requirements?

The free specialization course is aimed at teachers and educators who wish to specialize in the use of technologies applied to education. A degree in education or proven teaching experience is required.

Applicants must have internet access and suitable devices to attend the online classes.

How Will the Selection Process Work?

The selection will be conducted through a public lottery, broadcast live on the official IF Sudeste MG YouTube channel. Candidates should keep an eye on the dates provided in the notice to check the results.

After the lottery, the official list of selected candidates will be published on the institute’s website.

How to Enroll in the Free Courses?

Enrollment has been open since December 9, 2024, and will continue until January 10, 2025. The entire process is conducted online, simply and quickly. To secure your spot, just access the Official Enrollment Form and follow the instructions provided in the notice.
