The initiative is made possible through the Brazilian Open University System (UAB) and in partnership with the Distance Education Directorate (DED/CAPES), in addition to the Secretariat for Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion (SECADI/MEC).

Course content and workload
O course Special Education will be offered in distance learning format, with a total workload of 120 hours.
The course content is divided into three modules of 30 hours each, covering crucial topics for the training of education professionals working in the area of inclusion.
The modules are: “Human Development, Teaching and Learning from the Perspective of Inclusive Education”, “Curriculum, Technologies and Inclusive Pedagogical Practices” and “Inclusive Pedagogical Practices, Resources and Materials at School”.
Through these modules, participants in the free course will have access to content that helps implement inclusive practices and develop pedagogical strategies focused on diversity.
Registration and deadlines for free distance learning courses
Registration for the free EAD course in Special Education is open until January 10, 2025.
To register, interested parties must access the official website of the selection process.
O selective process will be held between January 11 and February 18, 2025, with the analysis of applications and verification of mandatory documents.
