UFSCar Offers Over 80 Free Courses in the Areas of Natural Sciences, Economics, Education, Communication, Inclusion, Mathematics, and Many Others.
The Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) has opened registrations for various free courses in several thematic areas, available for the general public. The classes are in the distance learning modality (EAD), so it accepts participants from anywhere in Brazil.
The free courses offered by UFSCar can be accessed on the PoCA platform and are available in areas such as Natural Sciences and Technologies, Education, Ethics, Management, Information and Communication, Inclusion and Accessibility, Mathematics, Health, Sustainability and Technologies, among others. The workload varies from 2 to 40 hours, depending on the chosen course, and students who complete them successfully receive certificates at the end.
Free Courses Available at the Federal University of São Carlos
Currently, the Federal University of São Carlos is offering 85 free courses through its platform, check out some of them:

Become an expert in programming in a course that pays up to R$ 800 for it: Senai and Petrobras offer a free programming course that can pay a monthly scholarship.

The São Paulo government opens 1,700 spots in free courses in the capital and Greater São Paulo, with classes starting on April 27 and registrations available in person or online for areas with high demand in the job market.

It is not possible to include the start and end dates of courses on the certificates, as the courses taught on PoCA are for an indefinite period, allowing participants to complete them whenever it is convenient for them, based on their interest levels and availability.
The certificates include information such as the course name, the participant’s name, the grade, the workload, and the date the certificate was issued. Additionally, there is a code printed on the back of the certificates that can be used to verify their authenticity.
How to Register to Participate in a Free Course at UFSCar
To participate in the free courses at the Federal University of São Carlos, there is no need to go through a selection process, as spots are unlimited. However, it is necessary to register on the platform first. First, access the PoCA platform via this link, then click on “Create an Account.” It is also possible to authenticate using a Google account.
After the registration, which is simple and only requires a few details, the interested party is redirected to the page with the list of free courses. Just choose the ones of interest and click the option “Enroll Me,” and you will have access to the content and can start studying.
