The Open Positions at Instituto Proa for Vocational Courses Are a Way for Young People in Rio de Janeiro to Connect with the Job Market, Gaining Experience While Learning for Free.

Instituto Proa has 8,000 openings in the free vocational courses in Rio de Janeiro, aimed at young people aged 17 to 22. This is the perfect opportunity for those who want to specialize for the job market. The selection process involves online applications, knowledge assessments, and document analysis, with classes scheduled to start in January 2024. New Openings for Vocational Courses at Instituto Proa

Instituto Proa is expanding its openings for free vocational courses throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro, providing a unique opportunity for training.

There are now 8,000 openings for young people aged 17 to 22. The initiative aims to assist students who will graduate from high school in 2024 in the public education system, as well as young people who have already completed high school, up to 22 years old.

Learn More About the Vocational Courses Offered by the Program

The course offered by Instituto Proa is an excellent pathway to prepare young people in Rio de Janeiro for the job market. With a duration of 100 hours, the program is divided into 4 fundamental modules:

Self-Knowledge: This module helps students understand their skills, interests, and personal goals.
Professional Project: Here, participants will learn to create a solid and strategic career plan.
Logical Reasoning: Students will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Communication: In this module, students will improve their written and verbal communication skills.

Additionally, each week, students will participate in live sessions facilitated by tutors, held on Thursdays.

There is also the possibility of expanding the vocational courses with a 5th module featuring a specific technical curriculum in partnership with major companies in the national market. Career options include:

Administration (sponsored by P&G);
Logistics (P&G);
Data Analysis (iFood);
Retail (Grupo Casas Bahia — Fundação Casas Bahia);
UX Design (Accenture);
Brand Promotion (BRF);
Financial Education (Bloomberg + Dahlia Capital).

At the end of the vocational courses, participants will receive a certificate of completion and will have access to an exclusive platform to find job openings, with the support of the State Secretariat for Economic Development.

In-Person Classes Will Also Be Available

For students who prefer in-person classes in Rio de Janeiro, Instituto Proa offers two study locations.

The first is in downtown Rio de Janeiro, in the P&G + Proa room, located in the Biblioteca Parque Estadual, which has 20 computers with internet access, providing an ideal learning environment.

Additionally, the Faetec Seropédica room maintains the same standard of quality and operating hours.
