The Registrations For The Free Technical Courses Of The Federal Institute (IFRN) Are Open Until April 13 For Candidates With Completed High School; The Selection Process Will Be Done By Electronic Drawing.

The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) has an excellent opportunity for those who wish to start a technical formation still in the first semester of 2025. The Pro-Rectorate of Education (Proen) published Notice No. 17/2025, offering remaining spots for the technical courses offered free of charge. Registrations are already open and can be made until April 13 exclusively online.

In total, the Federal Institute offers 69 spots in different areas of knowledge, distributed among the campuses of Apodi, Mossoró, Natal-Central, Natal-Centro Histórico, and Nova Cruz.

The process is aimed at candidates who have already completed high school or equivalent and wish to follow a new professional path through the free technical courses offered by the institution.

Distribution Of Spots In The Campuses Of The Federal Institute

The notice provides the following distribution of spots:

Apodi Campus: Agriculture (morning) – 26 spots.

Mossoró Campus: Electrical Engineering (afternoon) – 1 spot; Computer Science (morning) – 1 spot; Mechanics (afternoon) – 21 spots; Sanitation (evening) – 1 spot.

Natal-Central Campus: Roads (evening) – 2 spots; Mining (afternoon) – 10 spots.

Natal-Centro Histórico Campus: Events (afternoon) – 1 spot; Tour Guide (evening) – 1 spot.

Nova Cruz Campus: Administration (morning) – 5 spots.

These spots are for subsequent technical courses, that is, intended for those who have already completed high school.

The admission will still take place in the first academic semester of 2025, providing a promising start to the year for successful candidates.

Registrations Fully Online Through The Candidate Portal

Registrations for the spots in the technical courses of the Federal Institute must be made by 11:59 PM on April 13, through the Candidate Portal on the official website of the Contest Management System (SGC) of IFRN: http://processoseletivo.ifrn.edu.br.

To register, the candidate must have an active email account and follow these steps:

Create an account on the Candidate Portal (if you do not have one yet);
Activate the account via email;
Log in to the system;
Choose the desired selection process;
Select one of the available technical courses with spots in the desired campus and shift;
Correctly fill in all data and submit the registration form.

The Federal Institute emphasizes that it is mandatory for the candidate to have completed high school by the registration date to participate in the selection process.

Selection Will Be Done By Electronic Drawing

The selection of candidates will be conducted by electronic drawing among those registered. The final result will be announced on April 14, at 2 PM.

Candidates classified within the number of spots for each technical course of the Federal Institute must complete the online registration between April 15 and 16.

It is essential for the candidate to be attentive to deadlines and provide the required documentation.

Mandatory Documentation For Registration

The list of documents to be attached during online registration includes:

Birth or marriage certificate;

High school diploma and transcript;

Tax ID;

Identity document;

Military document (for men over 18 years old);

Recent 3×4 photo;

Equivalence report (for studies completed abroad);

Voter registration (for those over 18 years old).

All documents must be in .docx, .doc, .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png formats, with a maximum size of 2MB per file.

In the case of candidates who are minors, it will also be necessary to attach the Enrollment Responsibility Term and the identification document of the legal guardian.
