New Fuel-Efficient SUV from BYD Dolphin Coming to Market Soon
After the success of this fuel-efficient car, BYD is preparing to launch the compact SUV Yuan Pro, a model that has been spotted testing in Brazil, still camouflaged, as shown in images published by the media.
The BYD Yuan Pro is expected to be launched here by the end of the year and is another strong candidate to be produced in Camaçari (BA). Not only because it is built on the same platform as the Dolphin but because the compact SUV segment is currently the best-selling in the market.
The camouflage hides some details of the car, but it has already been officially shown in China. However, it is no secret that the SUV features robust bumpers, a panoramic sunroof, flush door handles, taillights that resemble those of the Dolphin, and rubberized protections on the fenders, being basically an SUV version of the model.
In the mechanical assembly, the fuel-efficient car has an electric motor with 173 hp, sufficient to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The BYD claims that the 45 kWh batteries were designed to provide a range of 401 km by the Chinese CLTC cycle, but without the correction by Inmetro. When it arrives in stores in Brazil, the Yuan Pro is expected to cost around R$ 200,000.
