Free Courses and 60 Job Openings for Receptionists Highlighted on Receptionist Day in São Paulo.
This Saturday (26), Receptionist Day celebrates the professionals who are the first contact with clients and visitors. To mark the date, the Department of Economic Development (SDE) of the State of São Paulo offers free courses and job opportunities in the area.
Courses and Training
The Qualifica SP program has already made available more than 4,300 spots in reception-focused courses since January 2023. The options include reception and customer service, as well as languages like English and Spanish.
Débora Paes, 42, a resident of Cruzeiro, took the English for Reception course in the first semester. “I sought the course because I needed to speak English at work and lacked confidence to do so,” she says.

She says that the classes were dynamic and helped with conversation skills. “I feel more prepared to deal with everyday situations,” says Débora, who has been working as a receptionist for four years in a company with foreign clients.
Thiago Adão, 35, from Campinas, also took the English course to strengthen his resume. He works with telemarketing but is seeking new opportunities. “The course was very good; I recommend it to anyone looking to grow professionally or change fields,” he states.
Currently, Qualifica SP has 60 open spots. Registration is open until August 4 on the website www.qualificasp.sp.gov.br. The options are:
- Atibaia: English for Reception (online – morning, 30 spots);
- Cajamar: English for Reception (in-person – evening, 20 spots);
- Salto: Reception and Customer Service (in-person – evening, 20 spots);
- São Sebastião: Spanish for Reception (in-person – evening, 20 spots).
Job Openings
Since January 2023, the Job Placement Services (PATs) have already offered more than 6,900 positions for receptionists. Currently, there are 60 vacancies available in the State.
To apply, it is necessary to present an ID, CPF, and Work Card. The addresses of the PATs can be found on the website desenvolvimentoeconomico.sp.gov.br/pats.
The Trampolim Portal also offers 43 vacancies and free courses, with career guidance. Registration can be done at www.trampolim.sp.gov.br.
