With all this information, it is clear that there is no risk in keeping the laptop plugged in for long periods. Even if you use it this way all day long, there will be no direct damage to the battery. The device itself takes care of managing everything.
In fact, some people prefer to use their laptop this way to preserve battery charge for moments when it is really needed — like during a trip or power outages.
The Importance of the Original Charger
One important point, however, is to always use the correct charger, preferably the original from the manufacturer. This ensures that the voltage and current are within the recommended limits. Using third-party or low-quality chargers can indeed cause problems, both for the battery and the motherboard.
Continuous use while plugged in is only safe if done with the right equipment. Otherwise, the risk lies not in the practice itself, but in the quality of the power supply.
