Main Positions and Salaries
Among the offered positions, the role of Teacher II stands out, responsible for teaching children from early childhood to the 5th grade of elementary school.
This is the position with the highest number of opportunities: there are 815 positions, with 600 for immediate start and 215 for reserve list. The salary for this position is R$ 1,914.59 for a work schedule of 24 hours per week.
In addition to Teacher II, there are also positions for Libras instructor, school secretary, special education teacher, and teachers of various subjects.
These positions include both professionals already qualified at higher education and candidates with high school education, allowing a significant number of candidates with different levels of education to compete.
Selection Process with Tests in December
The selection process for the Itaboraí City Hall contest will consist of three phases, with the first phase composed of objective tests and an essay, scheduled for December 1.
The tests will be held in two shifts, allowing candidates interested in more than one position to participate as long as the tests occur at different times.
The objective tests will consist of 40 questions, covering contents from Portuguese Language, Education Fundamentals, Statute of Municipal Public Servants of Itaboraí, History of Itaboraí, and Specific Knowledge for each position. The essay will be an argumentative dissertation, where candidates must develop a text based on a proposed theme at the time of the test.
In addition to the initial stage, there will be a title evaluation, which will have a classificatory nature and will be aimed only at candidates approved in the first two phases.
This moment of the process seeks to value the experience and additional training of candidates, adding points for those who have specializations, master’s degrees, or additional courses related to the area of activity.
Reserve List and Validity of the Municipal Contest in Rio de Janeiro
The positions designated for the reserve list are not for immediate filling but ensure that the approved candidates may be called throughout the validity of the contest, which is two years, and may be extended for another two years.
This means that even those who are not initially called may still have the opportunity to occupy a position during the validity period of the contest.

To register for the contest, interested parties must access the Institute Avalia website, fill out the form with the requested data, and make the payment of the registration fee according to the level of the desired position.
