With 250 Tons and More Than 11 Meters Long, Wind Power Transformer Is Escorted by the PRF in Night Operation Between Caaporã and Soledade, With Special Logistics Support
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) begins this Tuesday (6) the escort of a wind power transformer headed to the Serra da Palmeira Wind Complex, between Nova Palmeira and Campina Grande, in Paraíba. The operation starts at BR-101 in Caaporã, at the border with Pernambuco, and is expected to finish in Soledade-PB on May 14.
Heavy Load Requires Special Operation
The transported equipment weighs 250 tons and is 11.24 meters long, 4.20 meters wide, and 4.59 meters high.
The vehicle combination carrying it reaches 113.75 meters in length, 6.90 meters in width, and 5.25 meters in height, with a gross weight of 600 tons. The volume is distributed to minimize damage to the pavement of the highways.

Journey Will Be Made in Night Stages

The first movement is scheduled for 9 PM on Wednesday (7), departing from Km 127 of BR-101 in Caaporã towards Alhandra. Arrival is estimated for 5 AM on Thursday (8), at Km 99 of the same road.
Logistical Support and Alerts for Drivers
The escort will be conducted by PRF vehicles and vehicles from the responsible company, which includes three trucks, two semi-trailers, and a special base. After the stage on federal highways, the Department of Highways of Paraíba (DER-PB) will conduct the final phase to the destination.
