The Port of Santos, in São Paulo, made history between the 15th and 17th of this month. For the first time, the port conducted a heavy fuel oil loading operation for export (OCEX) on an Aframax Class ship.
We are talking about the Carlos Drummond de Andrade (CDA). Imagine the size of the vessel: it carried 48,000 tons of OCEX, just to start!

The operation was a significant step for Transpetro and the entire Petrobras System. Maneuvering a vessel the size of an Aframax is no easy task, but Transpetro demonstrated that it has a steady hand on the helm. After the operation in Santos, the CDA will set sail for the terminal in São Sebastião. There, it completed its load, reaching an incredible 108,000 tons!
